Voice added to Snapfulfil hosted WMS
Voice integration has been added to the Snapfulfil web-based warehouse management system announced earlier this year by Synergy Logistics. The company is working with Voxware to provide the voice technology. As with the rest of the Snapfulfil suite, the voice component is paid for through a monthly user fee. Remarkably, this covers the cost of installation and the provision of handheld terminals, as well connection to the secure hosted service. The company says users should be able to have the system up and running within thirty days. Synergy is promoting this development as a breakthrough. Managing director Mark Darley-Usmar says it makes the benefits of voice technology available to 'almost everyone', adding: 'It is no longer the preserve of big companies.'
